Career Story Of Himanshu Sharma:
Himanshu initially wanted to be a batsman, but the cost of batting is high, and cricket equipment is required, so he decided to bowl instead and began working hard to improve his bowling.
Himanshu could not play cricket in school because there were no cricket-related activities, but he used to practice with his friends in the neighborhood.
Until 2018, Himanshu’s family did not encourage him to play cricket because his parents wanted him to become a big man after finishing his studies.
Himanshu was not good in studies, for example, after passing class 12, he was looking for a college with cricket opportunities and a large park where he could practice cricket properly.
To get a chance in the field of cricket, he went to Baba Khivadas College in Sikar and enrolled. Himanshu formed his own team in college and participated in a university-level cricket tournament with this team in 2018.
With his outstanding performance in this tournament, Himanshu’s father began to believe in his son’s abilities; later, both father and brother realized that Himanshu has the potential to achieve great things in the game of cricket.
There was no cricket academy in his village or the entire district where Himanshu could learn the intricacies of the game by taking coaching.
In such a situation, he came across an experienced cricketer named Bhawana Acharya, from whom Himanshu learned a lot about the game.
After a while, he got his second coach, Deepak Sharma, who, like Himanshu, opened a cricket academy in Sikar called Cricket Excellence Academy for accomplished players.
Many players, including Himanshu, joined this academy after being forced to leave their region in search of a cricket academy.
Himanshu’s game began to improve even more as a result of the hard work of Himanshu and his coach, as well as his father’s support; as a result of his good performance, he received the gold medal in the entire zone, and he was selected for the All India Cricket Club. Himanshu’s contribution helped his college cricket team win the All India Championship in 2019.
Himanshu is one of Coach’s best disciples, he always arrives at the academy early and practices for 8 – 9 hours every day.
The coach sent him to Jaipur for coaching after seeing his hard work and dedication, but due to covid19, he could not stay in Jaipur for long and had to return to Sikar.
Despite not having played domestic cricket, Himanshu Sharma was granted direct entry into the IPL.

The significant debut:
For their must-win match against Gujarat Titans, which was postponed due to rain, RCB listed the unproven Himanshu Sharma as an Impact Player sub, replacing fellow leggie Karn Sharma. Curiously, Himanshu has never played a professional match. He is a leg-spinner who can spin the ball in both directions.
Along with Suyash Prabhudessai, Finn Allen, Sonu Yadav, and Akash Deep, Himanshu was named one of the five Impact Player subs.
